I also post my pics on skyscrapercity and on skyscraperpage and I increasingly find my pics on facebook on people's profiles claiming them to be theirs and recently also on a group on facebook which looks like an official group of the new Dubai public transportation system (hint) - but the website which they refer to (nameofnewtransportionsystem.eu) is actually hosted in Seychelles. They steal pics by the dozens, also from other photographers here in Dubai.

Furthermore, many of the local real estate companies also like to use pics without permission. It's much cheaper to erase a watermark than to purchase a license, unfortunately. But I refuse to put my watermarks all over the pics... Digimarc and such things also don't help at all.

Since I don't do this for a living I am not actually suffering from these people. Actually, I am happy if someone use my pics on their website or whatever. But when it comes to erasing the watermark and not crediting me then it gets a bit frustrating :(
